About Blossoming Behaviors

About Us

Blossoming Behaviors has been created to help others who would like to learn more about strategies that are used by behavior analysts to help children and adults learn ways of communicating their needs and wishes.  Behavior is communication and when a new way to communicate is taught, then the child or adult has a new form of communication and will likely stop using the old form that has not been working.

We have methods to decrease behaviors that do not work well and replace them with behaviors that do work well.

After working in schools, medical facilities, and home environments for the past 19 years it has become clear that there are many uses and needs for this type of work.  When new skills are learned by parents and caregivers, it helps everyone in the family or classroom.

“A failure is not always a mistake; it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances.  The real mistake is to stop trying.”

Debi was an incredibly accommodating supervisor! I was nervous about starting my BCBA supervision but she made the whole process feel easy. Throughout the supervision process, she was very kind, helpful, understanding, knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a supervisor you will with comfortable and confident with.

Debra has one of the strongest skillsets as a behaviorist that I have come across in my over twenty years in special education. Her strong skillset and interpersonal skills were evident from the start. She has supported multiple classrooms in her years at MCOE. Debra consistently has positive feedback from all the managers, teachers, classroom staff, district personnel, and parents. Debra exhibits a strong work ethic and positive attitude toward her work. She approaches tasks in a strategic manner and works diligently to stay on top of the many functional behavior assessments, consultations, observations, and behavior intervention plans. She establishes clear systems of organization for herself and sets priorities for her work. Debra is very competent on legal timelines and guidelines for providing defendable reports. She has been an asset to our organization and to our students.
